Day 1: Flight to KilimanjaroOvernight on board.
Day 2: Kilimanjaro - MoshiUpon arrival at the Kilimanjaro airport, meet and transfer to Moshi city. Briefing of the route and accommodation.
Day 3: Moshi - Marangu GateAfter breakfast, transfer to Marangu Gate Once the procedures for entry to Kilimanjaro P.N we started the trekking, this day of about 4h. It will start in a subtropical forest before reaching the Mnadara refuge. Accommodation.
Day 4: Mandara - HoromboBreakfast early and we continue trekking discovering the landscape changes and enjoying the magnificent views of the peaks Kibo and Mawenzi. The road will be about 7 hours to the refuge of Horombo. From this height we began to feel the cold and the air of the snowy peak of Kilimanjaro. Accommodation.
Day 5: Horombo RefugeDay dedicated to the acclimatization and enjoyment of the surroundings. Accommodation.
Day 6: Horomboro - Kibo After breakfast, we face a tough stage, from here the pace slows down to avoid altitude sickness. We advance for 6 hours to the Kibo refuge.
Day 7: RefKibo /Gillman's - Point Pico Uhuru - HoromboAt midnight, between 12:00 and 1:00 a.m., we begin the ascent to the top. It takes between 5 and 6h. We go up a pie to Gillman's Point, on the edge of the crater. From here we enjoy an impressive sunrise and, after a short break, we continue to the top of Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. In this moment coinciding with the sunrise, the glacial reflections give a unique vision that makes us forget the cold and fatigue. Then we begin the descent to the refuge of Horombo. Accommodation.
Day 8: Horombo Moshi RefugeAfter breakfast we continue the descent through the tropical humid forest to the entrance of the park where we received the official certificate of the ascent. Transfer to Moshi. Night in Moshi or connection with night flight.
Day 9: ArrivalArrival at the origin city.
Serengeti and Ngorongo are unmissable for lovers of African safaris. As are the park in the South, much less touristy. And of course, the Indian island: Mafia and Zanzibar.
