From Bangkok to Chiang Mai - trip of in Thailand

The most beautiful city in Asia and the Golden Triangle

Circuit in the North of the country visiting the ancient capital, Ayutthaya, considered the most beautiful in Asia, the famous Golden Triangle still inhabited by mountain tribes and the cities of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.

Itinerario

Day 1: Flight to Bangkok
Overnight on board.

Day 2: Bangkok
Upon arrival at the Bangkok airport, meet and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free. Optional city tour guided.

Day 3: Bangkok
After breakfast, transfer to Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. In addition to the impressive Buddha image, this temple was the first school of traditional medicine and Thai massage, and is considered the first university in the country. Next we visit the splendid Royal Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, where different Thai architectural styles are fused, as well as the Coronation Hall. After lunch, optionally, we go through the canals of the city by boat through the amazing districts of the West of the city. We enjoy the scenery and observe the daily life of the people who live next to the canals. We pass by the jetties where the Royal Boats are kept and preserved.

Day 4: Bangkok - Ayutthaya - Phitsanulok
Breakfast and transfer to to the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Thailand, Ayutthaya, considered the most beautiful city in Asia. We explore the Historical Park and the ruins of the 14th to the 18th centuries. We continue north to visit Wat Maha That, one of the largest monasteries in Phitsanulok. We spent the night in the city of Phitsanulok.

Day 5: Phitsanulok - Sukhothai - Phitsanulok
After breakfast, transfer to explore the Historical Park of Sukhothai. Sukhothai was the first capital of Thailand between the years 1250-1350 and you can still find remains of ancient and splendid temples and the Royal Palace. We continue to the famous Golden Triangle, visiting different mountain tribes on the way to see their unique lifestyles and their colorful clothes. We stop by the province of Chiang Saen, capital of the ancient Lanna Kingdom and visit one of its largest temples. We also visit MaeSai, the border city with Burma where we find a curious Burmese market and we can observe the bustling movement of people and goods in this place. Overnight at Chiang Rai hotel

Day 6: Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai
Breakfast and transfer to Chiang Rai city, visiting its points of greatest interest including Wat Phra Kaew with its copper Buddha image. We continue to Chiang Mai stopping at one of the most striking temples of Chiang Rai, Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Temple. Arrival in Chiang Mai, La Rosa del Norte, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery and a pleasant climate. Chiang Mai is the second city in size of Thailand and is located in a beautiful valley in the North of the country. Departure to the temple of Doi Suthep, spectacularly located on the summit of a mountain of 1000 meters altitude. This intricately decorated sanctuary offers fantastic views of the surroundings and the city of Chiang Mai. Return to the city to visit Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh.

Day 7: Chiang Mai
We had a nice day in the outskirts of the city enjoying the elephants. We will see the abilities of these majestic animals that reflect their great intelligence. Next we visited an orchid farm with more than 50 varieties of this plant with the most amazing colors. Return to Chiang Mai and free time.

Day 8: Chiang Mai - Bangkok
Breakfast and free time. Later transfer to Chiang Mai airport to flight to Bangkok.Connection with international or domestic flight for extension to the islands.

Day 9: Arrival
Arrival at the home city.
