Liveaboard in Galapagos Islands - trip of in Ecuador

Unique experience in the Ecuadorian archipelago

Galapagos is one of the icons of world diving. Due to its biodiversity, the presence of endemic species and especially the abundance of sharks and cetaceans, it is an obligatory destination to live the magnitude of marine life that hides in its waters. The Galapagos Islands are an archipelago belonging to the Republic of Ecuador, located in the Pacific Ocean. The Galapagos are known for their numerous endemic species and for the studies of Charles Darwin that led him to establish his theory of evolution by natural selection.

Itinerario

Day 1: Flight to Galápagos
Overnight in Bogotá.

Day 2: Bogotá - Baltra
Arrival at Baltra, asistance and trasnfer to the hotel in Puerto Ayora.

Day 3: Santa Cruz
Dia libre en Santa Cruz. Posibilidad de contratar excursiones o buceo.

Day 4: Santa Cruz
After breakfast transfer to the boat. Lunch and start of navigation. In the afternoon, explanatory briefing and first dive northeast of Baltra in the company of sea lions, rays and dry cleaners.

Day 5: Bartolomé and Cousins Rock
3 dives. In Bartholomew the current is moderate, we find white-tip sharks, green turtles, rays, tropical fish and the endemic red-lipped batfish. Breakfast on board after the dive. Cousins rock: moderate currents: seahorses, toadfish, schools of eagle rays, sea lions and occasionally giant rays. Lunch. In the afternoon we make the third dive and start the sailing towards Wolf.

Day 6: Wolf Island
4 dives. 2 dives in El Derrumbe: big schools of hammers, Galapagos sharks, hawksbill and green turtles. The Cave: underwater tunnel: Galapagos sharks and black tips, moray eels, scorpion fish, nudibranchs and turtles.

Day 7: Darwin Island
Arc of Darwin. We made 4 dives: big schools of hammers, big schools, turtles, whale shark between July and November.

Day 8: Wolf Island
3 dives. 2 dives in El Derrumbe and La Cueva.

Day 9: Isabela Island-Punta Vicente Roca-Cabo Marshall
3 dives. Punta Vicente Roca: catfish and mola-mola. Cape Marshall: during the trip we admire the impressive views of the volcanoes Ecuador and Darwin; we crossed the line of Ecuador. The main attraction is the giant rays of up to 6m which go to shallow depth, in addition to schools of barracudas and other species.

Day 10: Pinzón Island
2 dives. We made the last dives: batfish, giant stingrays, marbled stingrays, skates and a large number of sea turtles. In the afternoon we visit the Charles Darwin Research Station and its interpretation center to observe land iguanas and giant tortoises.

Day 11: Pinzón island - Santa Cruz
We visit the High Part of Santa Cruz and the Twin Craters. Disembark, transfer to the hotel and the rest of the day free in Santa Cruz

Day 12: Santa Cruz Airport
Transfer to the airport to catch the international return flight.

Day 13: Arrival
Arival at your home city.
