Sipadán Diving & Virgin jungles in Borneo

Borneo is still one of the few virgin strongholds on the planet. Sipadán, Mabul, Kapalai; islands bathed by waters of absolute transparency and on land, humid jungles inhabited by orangutans.

Itinerario

Day 1: Flight to Sudankan
Overnight on board.

Day 2: Sudankan
Upon arrival, airport assistance and transfer to Sabah Hotel Sandakan. Sandakan is considered "the gateway" to the jungles of Eastern Borneo. A city completely destroyed during the IIGM, we recommend a walk to its hills to admire the Sabah Sea or a tour on the Heritage Trail to get an overall impression of the city, in a relaxed way after the international flight.

Day 3: Sandakan-Sepilok-Kinabatangan-Sukau-Menanggul
Breakfast at the hotel at 8:00h. Pick up at the hotel and visit Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary. At 11:00h visit the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. At 11:45h lunch and departure by boat up the Lower Kinabatangan River. Arrival at Abai Jungle, short rest and we continue towards Sukau uprising the Menanggul River in search of proboscises, reptiles and other wild animals. Arrival at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge.

Day 4: Oxbow Lake - Menanggul River
At 6:30h boat departure at dawn for wildlife watching. Light trekking through the jungle and return to the lodge for breakfast. Free until lunchtime to rest or explore the surroundings. At 16:30h exit by the Menanggul River until dusk for wildlife watching. Dinner and accommodation at the lodge.

Day 5: Sukau - Semporna - Mabul
After breakfast we drive by road to Semporna Pier (4 - 4.5h) to board Mabul Island. Accommodation at Mabul Resort.

Day 6: Mabul
3 dives; in Mabul, Kapalai and Si Amil, unlimited from pier.

Day 7: Mabul
3 dives; in Mabul, Kapalai and Si Amil, unlimited from pier.

Day 8: Mabul
3 dives in Sipadan, unlimited from pier.

Day 9: Mabul
3 dives; in Mabul, Kapalai and Si Amil, unlimited from pier.

Day 10: Mabul
3 dives; in Mabul, Kapalai and Si Amil, unlimited from pier.

Day 11: Mabul - Tawau - airport
Transfer to the airport for return flight.

Day 12: Arrival
Arrival at your home city.
