Sailing through the Panama Canal

From ocean to ocean through the Panama Canal. In private sailboat or catamaran, we sail the San Blas archipelago, a paradisiacal conglomerate of 365 islands, mostly uninhabited, in the Caribbean Sea. Then, through the Panama Canal, we cross the Pacific Ocean to navigate the Las Perlas archipelago, one of the most beautiful and unprecedented areas of the entire American coast. Cruise ideal for couples or groups of friends, maximum 8 people.

Itinerario

Day 1: Flight to Panama
Upon arrival at Panama airport, meet and trasnfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Oanama city - Verde Island (San Blas)
After breakfast, transfer to San Blas Archipelago.

Day 3: San Blas Archipelago
Sailing in Coco Bandero Cay and Dutch Cays, the area furthest from the continent and the most spectacular beauty. The Dutch Cays are a group of 21 uninhabited islands, protected by a coral barrier of 11 km and surrounded by absolutely transparent waters.

Day 7: Isla Grande, Colon
We sail west to the Big Island, inhabited mainly by Afro-Caribbean descendants.

Day 8: Linton Island - Portobelo
After noon we arrive at Linton Island, an uninhabited island inhabited only by spider monkeys, by boat we enter through the Canal del Amor to visit the mangroves. Next we sail towards Portobelo, World Heritage, city founded in 1597 and fortified to avoid the constant attacks of pirates and corsairs.

Day 9: Crossing of the Panama Canal
Depending on the boat chosen, the crossing of the channel can represent one or two days. In this case, we spent the night at anchor in Gatun Lake, where we took advantage of the sighting of local fauna; turtles, crocodiles and a variety of tropical birds.

Day 10: Las Perlas archipelago
We begin navigation in one of the most beautiful and unknown archipelagos of the Pacific, ideal also the whale watching.

Day 14: Contadora Island
Named for being the place where pearls were recount during the Spanish colonization period. Ferry to Panama City and transfer to the airport to board the return flight.

Day 15: Arrival
Arrival at the home city.
