Day 1: Origin - JayapuraFlight to Papua.
Day 2: Jayapura - WamenaArrival in Jayapura, meeting with our guide and flight to Wamena, 60 minutes approx. After leaving the luggage at the hotel, we go to Napua from where we will have the first views of the impressive Baliem Valley. After lunch, we visited a local market and the first Dani villages.
Day 3: Wamena - Kurima - KiliseAfter breakfast we leave in our vehicle towards Sogokmo, in the South of Baliem. Upon arrival, we start a gentle trek accompanied by our guide, luggage carriers and cook. The trek runs along the Yetni River and the fields. After lunch we visit the villages and the surroundings. Dinner and accommodation at local house of the Dani ethnic group.
Day 4: Kilise - Hihundes - SyokosimoDuring this day we descend the hill to the hanging bridge of the Baliem River. The trekking is somewhat harder through narrow roads that can be slippery. After lunch, we enjoyed a nice bath in the Mugi River, accompanied by the inhabitants of the neighboring villages. In the afternoon, they give us the opportunity to learn their daily activities before spending the night in another local house.
Day 5: Syokosimo - SeikamaAfter breakfast, we continue parallel to the bed of the Mugi river to the Sikma hills from where we admire the width of the valley and the Balliem gorge.
Day 6: Seikama - Seima - Sogokmo - WamenaBreakfast and we continue for 5h until Sogokmo. The cook prepares lunch for us at Seima and we continue to the meeting point with our driver, to take us back to Wamena. Hotel accommodation.
Day 7: Wamena - JayapuraTransfer to the airport and flight to Jayapura. Upon arrival, visit the main points of interest: the beautiful views from the monument to Mc Arthur, Lake Sentani where we have lunch in its surroundings in local restaurant, Loka Budaya Museum, where we find an interesting representative collection of the culture of Papuan, Hamadi Market . Night in hotel.
Day 8: Jayapura - airportAfter breakfast, transfer to Jayapura airport to flight back.
Papua Nueva Guinea , a paradise of ancient cultures, smoky volcanoes, jungle-clad mountains and coral reefs are the setting for what this destination offers us.
